Company services
Register or satisfy a charge
A charge is security a company gives a lender. Registering or satisfying one needs the lender's documents, so this service is handled by our team. Contact us and we will take you through it.
Who needs it and when it is due
A charge is security given by a company to a lender, such as a mortgage or debenture. A charge must be delivered to Companies House within 21 days beginning with the day after it was created. When the debt is repaid, a statement of satisfaction (MR04) tells Companies House the charge is no longer outstanding.
Because the filing depends on the signed charge instrument and lender details, we handle MR01 and MR04 filings for you directly rather than through the online form.
What we can help with
- MR01: registration of a charge, with a certified copy of the instrument
- MR04: a statement that a charge has been satisfied in full or in part
- Checking the details against your documents
- Filing with Companies House and confirming the result
